Account & privacy
Settings, defaults, and your data
Manage your profile, defaults, prompts, subscription, cookies, export, and deletion—aligned with how Bearbits handles your account.
Profile and security
Update your display name in Settings. Email changes go through support if your account requires it. Use password reset to change your password securely.
Defaults
Defaults apply to new meetings: default role description, default transcription languages, translation target language for the Translate control, and default meeting terms.
Auto-apply terms to new meetings when you want glossary terms to appear without re-entering them each time.
Advanced prompts and caps
Open Advanced under Settings to adjust transcript output caps and to customize summary and suggestion prompts. Reset prompts to defaults when you want the product baseline back.
Subscription and billing
See your current plan and billing status in Settings. Manage billing through the customer portal when available to update payment methods, invoices, or cancellation. If your plan has ended, the workspace stays accessible but AI and transcription stay off until you start a new plan.
Cookies and analytics
Open cookie settings to change analytics and session replay consent for this browser. Analytics is opt-in from the cookie banner.
Export and delete
Export downloads a copy of your meetings and settings for portability or backup. You can delete individual meeting transcripts at any time. Deleting your account removes your meeting content from Bearbits; follow the warnings about billing if you still have an active subscription.
Legal
Privacy and Terms links are available from Settings. Read them for retention, subprocessors, and your rights.
FAQ
Where do I change my default prompts?
Collapse Advanced under Settings to edit summary and suggestion prompts, or reset them to defaults.
Is any audio or video recording saved?
No. Bearbits uses microphone audio and optional shared meeting audio only during live transcription. It does not save a video recording, screen recording, or stored audio recording as part of the meeting record. What stays in your account is the transcript text and the content you choose to keep.
